Many changes over the years to two connected townhouses on Capital Hill had produced a confusing and structurally unsound interior. The new design transformed the space into a Washington headquarters emblematic of the high-tech manufacturing client. The lobby, reception and tele-conference meeting room are defined by a diagonal grid. The open steel stair is supported by trussed guard rails with punched aluminum panels. The cherry paneling and stone tile flooring is set off by walls of BWXT’s signature logo color.
